A Soul In Crisis - John 19

God purchased humanity with the last drop of His blood, demonstrating the infinite value he places on rebellious dust like us. Jesus experienced complete forsakenness on the cross, crying "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" showing God himself forsaken of God.

The eternal Word who spoke light into darkness fell silent in the tomb, only to thunder forth in resurrection!

Humanity wants "$3 worth of God"... just enough for comfort, but not enough for transformation. The human heart is desperately wicked and blind to its own madness; people don't recognize their need for salvation. Salvation is entirely by grace through faith, not by works, so no one can boast!

Believers are God's "workmanship" or poetry; we are masterpieces being crafted through difficult circumstances.

The spear wound in Jesus' side is called "the gate to heaven," pouring forth the birthing fluid from which the church was born.

The rolled-away stone answers humanity's greatest question: "What about death?"

As Christians, we're called to live boldly and speak freely about our faith, not in fear, but in confidence that God is for us!
