Jesus Preaches the Kingdom - Mark 1:14-20
The beatitudes (being meek, peacemakers, pure in heart, hungering for righteousness, etc.) are the Kingdom attitudes, how we should be living! As subjects of the King, he is either our Lord or our enemy.
Jesus started a good work in us so we can be a blessing to each other. Our loved ones need us to act more and more like Christ! We are brought here to church for a purpose, to help each other, to strengthen each other for the race ahead.
Don't be afraid to trust the Lord; he is faithful. When he calls you, you are instantly filled with the Holy Spirit, and heir of the Kingdom! Yet we're not instantly perfect fishers of men. Over time, we become fishers of men, as we grow and become more like him. God refines us over the years, and it takes time. God is mercifully patient with us!!!
In our walk, we need new mercies every day. His grace is present as we are being sanctified! Though we're not sinless, we are blameless; when we do fall, we ask for God's forgiveness, accept it and move on. He is patient and kind to us!
