Elijah Part 1 - 1 Kings 16:29-17:9

Our country isn't immune to the modern equivalent of Baal worship. We must stop pretending that Satan isn't constantly seeking to devour us, our children, our grandchildren. A nation is under judgment when the Word departs from society.

God brings Elijah to a place of no food, with a brook that runs out of water, even though he was under God's grace. He was just a man like us. Tempted to question God's provision, like we are.

So God brings us to a difficult place not because he hates us, but because he loves us, and so we can rely on him. Then we can look back on our trials with gratitude!

We can build our lives upon the teachings of God's word. He is the good shepherd. He will never leave you, and he will see you through, restore you, bless you, and use you for eternal things! We are never without hope.
